Main Responsibilities

Key duties and responsibilities include:

• Advising on energy product sale, purchase, logistics, and service agreements.
• Advising on commercial contracts relating to the operation of World Kinect’s global business.
• Providing general commercial legal support to a team of legal professionals advising World Kinect’s global energy trading business.
• Maintaining a strong and proactive focus on compliance.
• Proactively developing contract management and other legal processes and contract templates to promote efficient workflows and align legal risk management requirements across the WKC Group.
• Educating business and support colleagues on legal and contract matters and best practices.
• Providing internal and external customer support, developing connectivity and relations with colleagues in other offices, and building direct relationships with customers and key suppliers.
• Engaging in strong, visible, and frequent collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Acting as a positive brand ambassador for World Kinect and its subsidiaries at all times.

Main Requirements

• Law Degree and 4+ years of experience.
• Training and post-qualification experience at a leading law firm.
• In-house commercial legal experience is welcomed but not essential. This may include experience at an energy company, oil major, trading house, or shipping, transportation, renewables, or industrial services company.
• A pragmatic, hands-on lawyer who is able to think on their feet and find sensible solutions to legal challenges.
• Ability to assess issues, take ownership, and efficiently implement solutions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills – emotionally intelligent and able to win trust and develop business relationships.
• Knowledge and a passion to assist World Kinect in its sustainable energy transition.
• Professional presence and integrity.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic, performance-driven culture.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
