Challenges You Will Solve

We are looking for an upbeat, coachable, and highly-motivated individual to join our sales team as a Commercial Account Manager, supporting small businesses customers within an assigned geographic territory. You will be responsible for managing the renewal and expansion business for Red Canary’s commercial segment (<500 employees). This includes identifying upcoming renewals, working with customers to discuss needs, and identifying new opportunities for upsell/cross-sell. The account manager will play a key role in customer retention and will help accomplish Red Canary’s mission to make security better for businesses of all sizes. Through your persistence, determination, and creativity, you will help Red Canary create a world where every organization can make its greatest impact without fear of cyber attack.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a book of existing customers in partnership with Customer Success Manager to renew and expand accounts.
  • Forecast, track, prepare, and deliver on renewal and expansion numbers – monthly, quarterly, and annual quota.
  • Manage deliverables and prioritize upcoming renewals in collaboration with Customer Success and Sales Leadership.
  • Communicate with customers to discuss health checks, new solution options, and needs.
  • Take ownership of results as part of a hard-working team by consistently meeting or exceeding territory sales goals.
  • Retain existing customers by providing excellent service and demonstrating the value of Red Canary.
  • Utilize data to increase revenue through upselling and cross-selling motions.
  • Improve customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate risk to minimize churn.
  • Collaborate across teams such as: sales, leadership, and customer success.
  • Travel as business requires.

What You’ll Bring

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a SaaS company.
  • Experience working with Security professionals.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
  • Desire to build a career in Sales.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Motivated, driven, and results-oriented.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a diverse set of challenges.
  • Familiarity with common sales tools, including Salesforce.com, SalesLoft, Marketo.
  • Experience with cold-calling and value selling.
  • Ability to handle and overcome objections and concerns.
  • Experience in recommending and qualifying solutions based on customer challenges.
