Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in life science, biology, business, or marketing, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 2 years of direct account management experience in a molecular diagnostics setting with a proven history of exceeding expectations is required, along with 3+ years of experience working with hospital systems. The role demands comfort selling at the executive level, a keen understanding of the payor and reimbursement environment in molecular diagnostics, and strong knowledge of molecular diagnostics in behavioral health and the competitive landscape. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with Salesforce.com are essential. Advanced presentation skills, business acumen, and the ability to work independently with minimal direction are necessary.

Responsibilities

The Clinical Account Executive will drive strategic business expansion and collaboration opportunities with major behavioral health clinics, top psychiatry practices, Key Opinion Leaders, and Academic Medical Centers. Responsibilities include structuring strategic plans for client acquisition and retention, collaborating with sales teams to achieve company goals, and identifying partnering opportunities between prospective psychiatrists and Tempus. The role involves promoting and ensuring compliance with new web-based molecular information tools, analyzing the competitive landscape, monitoring sales performance, and developing a comprehensive business plan for the territory. The executive will also work effectively across multiple departments, embrace the Tempus company culture, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
