Requirements

Candidates are required to have 10+ years of relevant experience, ideally in a full-service medical communications agency, and possess a life sciences degree, preferably combined with a Master’s or PhD, or other relevant qualification. Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills are essential, including the ability to influence colleagues and clients, and to actively listen. The role also demands visionary leadership, the ability to motivate a workforce and lead by example, effective management and delegation skills, strong financial acumen, planning and forecasting abilities, excellent organizational skills, time management, adherence to deadlines, high attention to detail, and extremely good written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.

Responsibilities

The Client Services Director (CSD) will drive strategic account growth, financial performance, and operational excellence in line with company vision and values, leading client relationships, optimizing workflow and financial KPIs, overseeing business development efforts, and ensuring high standards of service delivery. They will also contribute to wider agency leadership, support new business pitches, and mentor team members to ensure long-term success and talent development.
