Requirements

  • At least 4 years’ of related insurance experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of general insurance market conditions and specific insurance carrier underwriting appetites
  • Strong Excel skills, ability to create and manage large spreadsheets of data
  • Ability to analyze complex risk exposures, existing insurance coverages, and develop appropriate recommendations for clients and prospects
  • Ability to forge relationships with key insurance markets and carrier representatives
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team of professionals and build relationships with other Firm business segments
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day activities of client accounts including policy review, changes and updates
  • Manage day-to-day activities of client accounts including contract reviews
  • Manage day-to-day activities of client accounts including preparing renewal documents
  • Manage day-to-day activities of client accounts including marketing and negotiating insurance programs
  • Manage day-to-day activities of client accounts including financial statements related to the client’s insurance
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining appropriate carrier relationships
  • Manage client files in AMS accurately and consistently; responsible for proper documentation of files and proper communication to all in accordance with company workflows, procedures, and best practices
  • Manage client inquiries and work with insurance partners and/or internal teams to resolve client issues
  • Know the requirements and attributes of all insurance company partners while maintaining in-depth knowledge of the company and their resources
  • Coordinate service delivery for accounts as assigned including developing initial placement/renewal strategy
  • Stay informed on regulatory changes
  • Complete special projects as assigned
  • Bring issues and discrepancies to appropriate leadership
  • Serve as a mentor to colleagues as requested
