Responsibilities

  • Leading and executing purchasing supply management activities for all categories and sub-categories
  • Working closely with key stakeholders in Corporate and Division organizations to develop effective cost reduction strategies and implementation plans
  • Nurturing stakeholder relationships by serving as a business partner, identifying critical business requirements, and providing sourcing and procurement services
  • Driving reduced total cost of ownership by optimizing Tier 2 and Tier 3 supply chains
  • Representing Abbott strategically in the industry and community
  • Proactively identifying areas of opportunity for new business opportunities, process improvement, and cost efficiencies
  • Providing insight to the business unit on how to best develop and leverage supplier capabilities
  • Implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system
  • Developing plans and delivering results in fast-changing business environments
  • Developing and implementing procurement plans and strategies to support business needs
