Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management
  • Experience in high-growth SaaS, healthcare, or benefits organizations
  • Proven success in building procurement functions from the ground up in a scaling environment
  • Strong contract negotiation expertise (including SaaS, clinical services, and global vendors)
  • Familiarity with data privacy, HIPAA, SOC2, GDPR, and global compliance considerations
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on execution ability

Responsibilities

  • Design and lead Carrot’s global procurement strategy across categories
  • Establish scalable sourcing, contract management, and spend control processes
  • Build a small but high-impact procurement team; coach and mentor staff
  • Drive competitive sourcing events (RFPs, RFQs) and lead negotiations
  • Implement vendor performance measurement (KPIs, SLAs) and risk management frameworks
  • Partner with Product and Clinical teams on strategic supplier relationships
  • Collaborate with Finance and Legal to ensure vendor contracts meet compliance requirements
  • Own procurement policies, approval workflows, and internal training
  • Lead the selection and implementation of procurement technology/tools
  • Deliver measurable cost savings, cost avoidance, and efficiency gains
  • Provide quarterly reporting on vendor spend, savings, and procurement KPIs
  • Support long-range planning, budgeting, and IPO readiness efforts
