Requirements

10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management
Experience in high-growth SaaS, healthcare, or benefits organizations
Proven success in building procurement functions from the ground up in a scaling environment
Strong contract negotiation expertise (including SaaS, clinical services, and global vendors)
Familiarity with data privacy, HIPAA, SOC2, GDPR, and global compliance considerations
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
Strategic mindset with hands-on execution ability

Responsibilities

Design and lead Carrot’s global procurement strategy across categories
Establish scalable sourcing, contract management, and spend control processes
Build a small but high-impact procurement team; coach and mentor staff
Drive competitive sourcing events (RFPs, RFQs) and lead negotiations
Implement vendor performance measurement (KPIs, SLAs) and risk management frameworks
Partner with Product and Clinical teams on strategic supplier relationships
Collaborate with Finance and Legal to ensure vendor contracts meet compliance requirements
Own procurement policies, approval workflows, and internal training
Lead the selection and implementation of procurement technology/tools
Deliver measurable cost savings, cost avoidance, and efficiency gains
Provide quarterly reporting on vendor spend, savings, and procurement KPIs
Support long-range planning, budgeting, and IPO readiness efforts
