Knowledge of category strategy development, industry trends, benchmarking, and best practices
Skills in supplier relationship management, risk management, performance reviews, and dispute resolution

Responsibilities

Develop global sourcing strategies for various categories
Work with business stakeholder groups to identify and qualify suppliers, initiate RFPs/RFQs, and advise on contract terms
Conduct RFPs and lead cross-functional teams through supplier selection using scoring criteria
Lead negotiations on General Procurement agreements, balancing business, legal, and pricing aspects
Analyze proposals for services, total costs, ROI, benchmarking, and negotiate favorable terms
Provide global contract expertise for sourcing products and services across business units
Evaluate single sourcing requests for competitiveness
Develop, refine, and implement category strategies and tactics for highest value procurement
Become subject matter expert on categories and consult internal clients on trends and best practices
Lead cross-functional meetings and develop communication strategies on procurement processes, supplier strategy, and policies
Manage supplier relationships focusing on supply risk, contract risk, and cost management
Mediate supplier issues and resolve contract disputes
Lead and participate in supplier performance reviews and improvement programs
Support ad-hoc reporting needs, including supplier scorecards
