Requirements

  • Passion for Whatnot's mission and improving community experiences
  • 7+ years of experience in a fast-paced, client-facing role in high-output environments (e.g., Strategy Consulting, Private Equity, or partnerships at a fast-paced tech company)
  • Ability to operate as a player/coach and produce results in highly ambiguous environments
  • Scrappy mindset with no job too small
  • World-class leadership experience managing and developing a team
  • Deeply analytical with comfort understanding and manipulating data for business insights
  • Must live within commuting distance of San Francisco, Los Angeles, or New York City hubs

Responsibilities

  • Define strategic vision for the category by mapping the market, analyzing data, and engaging sellers/buyers
  • Develop action plan to address key challenges and opportunities in the category
  • Manage dotted-line reports in account management, sales, and marketing to onboard/grow sellers, activate influencers, and run community events; develop and mentor team members
  • Source, execute, and manage highest-priority partnerships in the category
  • Own category data to define/monitor success metrics and prioritize team focus areas
  • Identify category unlocks and collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, operations, engineering to drive step-change growth
  • Work with executives to propose/execute tests for adapting to category needs
  • Act as advocate for the category by building relationships with top sellers/buyers and ensuring product meets their needs
  • Guide team to understand business/product core components to pitch sellers and grow community
