Ability to process member purchases courteously and friendly, including verifying, renewing, upgrading, and offering membership products
Knowledge of scanning merchandise through a point-of-sale system for accurate inventory and purchase totals
Ability to accept various forms of payments (cash, check, charge)
Up to date on merchandise promotions, advertisements, product information, and coupons

Responsibilities
Offer all appropriate membership products such as membership renewal, EASY renewal option, BJ’s Loyalty programs, and Rewards redemption
Provide a high level of customer service to Members and check them out in a timely and efficient manner
Scan all club merchandise through a point-of-sale system to ensure accurate inventory counts and purchase totals
Fill shopping carts when necessary and assist at self-checkout stations
Collect payments via cash, check, or other charge payments from members
Issue receipts or change due to Members
Discount purchases by scanning and redeeming coupons
Maintain the cleanliness of the frontline area and assist in general club housekeeping when necessary
Return re-sellable merchandise to the sales floor area
Carry out job functions as assigned, support club policies, procedures, and compliance
Resolve and deescalate member concerns, escalate as appropriate
Deliver GOLD club standards daily, including Grand Opening Look (GOL), stocking items, executing promotional plans, maintaining signage, and keeping areas clean and organized
