Responsibilities

  • Drive profitable sales through achievement of sales and profit goals, budget management, sales forecasts; proactively analyze and utilize sales/financial reports, economic trends, and community needs to identify and respond to market changes while controlling expenditures; communicate sales results to associates and guide interpretation
  • Create operational plans with the management team; prioritize, delegate, and provide clear direction to managers and associates; ensure optimal store conditions through effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, and store standards within company policies; implement new store programs (specific to Front End area) and evaluate effectiveness
  • Execute and monitor asset protection and safety controls; maintain quality assurance standards; oversee safety and operational reviews; ensure compliance with Walmart policies, procedures, safety, security, sales, financial, and record-keeping practices; anticipate and respond to compliance issues including Total Loss/general controls
  • Serve customers as a store ambassador by greeting them, seeking feedback, and resolving needs, complaints, and issues within company guidelines; model, enforce, and provide direction on friendly and helpful customer service to associates
  • Support store initiatives to serve the community by participating in and supporting community events and developing relationships with key community groups; participate in company-sponsored programs, events, and sustainability efforts
  • Lead associates by conducting regular store meetings and communicating operational direction and initiatives with focus on OMNI and Total Store; drive engagement, recognize and reward accomplishments, provide professional growth opportunities; develop associates and identify high-potential ones for training
  • Demonstrate company values by holding associates accountable through timely, honest, specific, and respectful performance feedback, corrective, and disciplinary action; build and manage relationships with supporting functions (e.g., District HR Managers)
  • Comply with all company standards and procedures when handling merchandise including alcohol, ammunition, narcotics, and high-ticket items; ensure appropriate cash controls handling up to $250,000 per day
