Requirements

  • Extensive CAD design experience with complex assemblies and production drawings
  • Modern programmer and API integrator comfortable with Python, TypeScript, API development, CI/CD workflows, testing, and system monitoring
  • Skilled in building simple, user-friendly internal tool interfaces using React or similar frameworks, with emphasis on clarity and thorough documentation
  • Experienced administering PDM and PLM, scaling workflows in complex programs (aerospace or similar environments preferred)
  • Service-oriented and supportive to users while maintaining strict standards for data quality and process integrity
  • U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State (ITAR requirement)

Responsibilities

  • Drive CAD architecture and standards with focus on Onshape, ensuring processes and integrations are multi-CAD ready
  • Establish and enforce modeling and drawing best practices, including large assemblies, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, templates, naming, and numbering
  • Build and maintain automation scripts and lightweight internal tools to replace repetitive tasks with reliable, streamlined workflows
  • Deliver API integrations across CAD, PLM, ERP, and MES, defining canonical metadata models, mappings, validation rules, retries, and alerting
  • Own PLM release workflows that are tool agnostic; manage lifecycles, change objects, roles and gates, and health of CAD to PLM synchronization
  • Ensure data hygiene and access control by maintaining metadata standards, permission models, audit trails, and deprecating legacy paths
  • Lead CAD system governance, including user group management, support standards, training, and upgrade/change planning with robust testing and communication protocols
