Responsibilities

  • Work with diverse vendors to choose the best product mix for in-store and online channels
  • Determine localization, calibrate market positioning, and act as brand managers
  • Own a wide SKU count to ensure varied and challenging work
  • Create omni-channel growth by planning profitable and locally relevant assortments using knowledge of guest shopping behavior, assortment requirements, and competitors
  • Influence and negotiate with vendors to achieve results and identify gaps and opportunities
  • Translate financial metrics and data into actionable strategies while reacting flexibly to business results
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive category results and manage progress toward sales and margin goals
  • Partner with product designers, category managers, and vendors to guide product development and source appropriately for the category
  • Interact with Associate Buyers, Senior Merchandise Specialists, Pricing and Promotion Center of Excellence, Planning, Site Merchandising, Item Center of Excellence, and other partners to support promotional planning across channels
