Requirements

  • Prior experience working as an agent or within the insurance industry
  • Experience as a transformational leader capable of strategically assessing agency growth opportunities
  • Ability to collaborate with Commercial Product Towers to develop and deliver a compelling AIG agent value proposition

Responsibilities

  • Achieve production targets across all lines of business for AIG Property & Casualty Commercial products through targeted strategies
  • Drive profitable growth in production through coaching and development of a team of Business Development Managers and management of sales personnel activities
  • Differentiate management approach for various agent sources including life agents, market agents, and exempt insurance brokers
  • Collaborate with Commercial Product Towers to develop joint strategies to achieve AIG Singapore’s growth & profitability goals
  • Implement sales activity management best practices to ensure production goals are on track for each product line
  • Develop long-term strategies for Singapore Agency to expand penetration in targeted lines of business
  • Monitor market trends to ensure AIG delivers best-in-class support, products, pricing, and incentives to agents
  • Develop an annual sales plan with targeted action items for all team members; monitor success and revise as necessary
  • Collaborate with Commercial Product Towers to identify and leverage agency distribution opportunities in preferred market/industry segments (consumer, small business, middle corporate)
  • Ensure profitability and long-term sustainability of agency distribution channels
  • Collaborate with Commercial Product Towers to develop and execute agreed product and agency growth strategies
  • Drive a sales culture where results are celebrated, sales managers are motivated, and the team works towards collective goals
  • Identify new business opportunities for growth in unexplored channels
  • Accurately forecast annual, quarterly, monthly revenue streams
  • Develop targeted plans to ensure growth in revenue across all AIG products
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service; implement effective servicing support model
  • Gather market intelligence and monitor market developments by interacting with frontline sales management, agency producers, etc., to optimize AIG’s value proposition
  • Leverage field including NPS feedback to continuously improve AIG Singapore’s competitive position
  • Drive technology utilization to achieve producer automation, externalization, and operational efficiency objectives
  • Exercise strong salesmanship
  • Develop, implement, and monitor agency management best practices, including recruitment and selection of producers (target profiles, controlled processes), producer training and development, performance management (sales activity, incentives, compensation), channel management (agent tiering and segmentation), and talent development
