Candidates should possess at least one year of experience in a sales development or business development function, or relevant work experience, along with a desire to build a career in sales. They should also demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and constantly evolving environment, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The Business Development Representative will drive customer engagement by following up on inbound qualified leads and conducting outbound prospecting, utilizing tools such as LinkedIn Navigator, ZoomInfo, 6Sense, and various other resources to research and identify potential prospects. They will generate and conduct first meetings with prospects through calling, emailing, social selling, and invitations to events, conduct early opportunity qualification, build compelling messaging, effectively communicate the value of Yext’s services, collaborate with a cross-functional team, maintain meticulous notes and tracking, deliver qualified opportunities to the account team, meet assigned Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and consistently achieve assigned goals for opportunity creation, pipeline, and opportunity conversion.
