Requirements

Candidates must possess over 5 years of sales experience selling UCaaS, CCaaS, and/or SaaS through channel partners in a business-to-business model. Demonstrable experience, knowledge, success, and contacts within the channel partner community (Telecom VARs, SIs, Agents, MSPs, etc.), including existing 8x8 partners and targeted recruitment partners, are required. Experience managing and growing business with channel partners, recruiting and onboarding new channel partners, and selling IP telephony, UCaaS, CCaaS, and/or SaaS in the indirect channel is essential. The role requires collaborative, solutions-oriented, and consultative selling skills, with experience selling to accounts up to 1000 users. Proficiency with SFDC and developing/managing partner progress metrics is necessary, along with a demonstrable ability to forecast key business parameters and report status effectively to management and peer groups.

Responsibilities

The Business Development Manager will identify, recruit, and develop new Resale partners within their designated region to build a strong partner base that generates a consistent pipeline of opportunities and grows new monthly recurring revenue (MRR) for 8x8 cloud service offerings. Responsibilities include recruiting new partners, building and managing a strong pipeline of strategic partners, qualifying and negotiating contracts and business plans, assisting with onboarding, coordinating training, co-branding, and joint marketing to drive new revenue. The manager will also assist 8x8 account executives in negotiating and closing deals and manage partner engagements to ensure strong connections with key 8x8 personnel, including account executives, sales engineers, marketing, channel operations, and executives.
