Requirements

Candidates should possess at least 5 years of experience in business development, consulting, or technical sales, with a strong understanding of modern software development and AI applications. HubSpot (or similar CRM) expertise and prior experience utilizing AI tools for business development, such as research and personalization, are also required. Prior consulting or solution sales experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

The Business Development Lead will engage with portfolio companies of PE firms, conduct smart prospecting within new mid-market PE firms and their portfolios, consistently follow up with personalized emails and LinkedIn messages, map PE portfolios to identify high-probability prospects, collaborate internally to create tailored outreach strategies, customize outreach and positioning based on each firm’s portfolio and timing, set up and sometimes lead first meetings with prospects and PE operating partners, brief internal leaders with context and positioning, and document takeaways, define next steps, and ensure follow-up.
