UpKeep is seeking a Lead Recruiter to own full-cycle hiring across teams and geographies, while designing and implementing AI-powered recruiting systems. This role is for someone who wants to make a strategic impact without giving up hands-on recruiting, comfortable closing engineering leads and automating sourcing workflows.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Hybrid Role: Based in Los Angeles, with an expectation to be in the office at least one day per week.
  • Full-Cycle Recruiting: Own and execute recruiting for technical and business roles from sourcing to closing.
  • AI Tool Implementation: Design and deploy AI tools for sourcing automation, screening, scheduling, and candidate communications.
  • Strategic Advising: Lead intake meetings and advise hiring managers on role design, market trends, and interview structures.
  • Bias-Free Hiring: Champion structured, bias-free assessments and facilitate training on consistent hiring practices.
  • Talent Pipelines: Build and nurture talent pipelines with a focus on self-sourced candidates.
  • Offer Negotiation: Drive offer negotiation and candidate close with high emotional intelligence and business acumen.
  • Recruiting Dashboards: Create and manage real-time dashboards to track key recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, funnel conversion, quality-of-hire, hiring manager satisfaction).
  • Process Optimization: Continuously optimize systems, processes, and tech stack to automate low-leverage work.

Experience

  • Recruiting Experience: 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with recent experience in high-growth tech or startup environments.
  • Senior/Lead Experience: 2+ years in a senior, lead, or strategic recruiting role.
