User Interviews is seeking a Billing & Collections Manager to oversee their Billing department. This role involves managing the daily operations and professional development of the Billing and Collections team, identifying and implementing process improvements, and shaping the long-term strategy for the department. The position requires close collaboration with various internal departments and external stakeholders, reporting directly to the VP of Finance.

The Finance Team

The Finance team at User Interviews is rapidly expanding and currently comprises 10 members. This role offers the opportunity to join a highly collaborative team and regularly partner with other departments such as Data & Analytics, Revenue, Customer Success, Operations, and Legal.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of analysts to ensure all department functions are carried out in accordance with established policies.
  • Partner within the team and across departments on special projects, including new systems implementations and optimizing existing systems.
  • Collaborate with Revenue, Customer Success, and Operations teams to ensure shared processes operate efficiently.
  • Coach and develop five direct reports, providing them with career growth opportunities.
  • Identify and address gaps or inefficiencies in processes and controls, leading initiatives to resolve them.
  • Partner with the VP of Finance to develop and execute the long-term strategy and goals for Billing and Collections.
  • Directly assist as needed to resolve complex billing issues and questions.
  • Ensure team policies and documentation are kept up-to-date.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in a billing role.
  • 2+ years of experience leading a billing team at a SaaS company or similar industry in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in G Suite.
  • Proficiency in Excel, with a knack for keyboard shortcuts.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Experience as a people manager, including overseeing and reviewing the work of others.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Candidates must be located in the United States and authorized to work without Visa sponsorship.
