Candidates should possess at least 3 years of experience in health benefits education or similar roles, specifically working with patients and family members to overcome barriers to cancer care. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and the process for procuring authorizations is required, along with experience in a collaborative team environment, particularly in reviewing medical documents or insurance claims. A Bachelor’s degree is also necessary.
As a Benefit Navigator, you will provide members with education on utilizing their Sidecar Health benefits, assist them in navigating complex health situations, conduct assessments of members, procure HIPAA authorizations, offer outreach on behalf of members, establish and maintain collaborative relationships with the team, develop strategies, maintain comprehensive documentation, facilitate team meetings, sustain an interactive relationship with members and their representatives, actively engage in quality assessment and process improvement initiatives, and generate reports to track progress.
