Requirements

Candidates must possess a BCom, MCom, or Master of Business Administration degree and have 7 to 11 years of experience. Expertise in commercial real estate underwriting or commercial underwriting is essential, along with a strong understanding of credit analysis, creditworthiness, underwriting, third-party report validation of commercial property, commercial lending, financial analysis, asset evaluation, and income calculation. The role also requires the ability to establish strong client relationships, handle disputes, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, manage multiple stakeholders, and possess strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

The Banking Advisory Specialist will conduct detailed research on the financial history of businesses to determine creditworthiness, assess loan risk parameters including borrower and industry factors, evaluate borrower and guarantor financial performance, and assess repayment capacity. They will recommend the approval or decline of business loans and may create new solutions by adapting existing methods and procedures. This role involves analyzing moderately complex problems, understanding strategic directions, and potentially managing small teams or work efforts. Responsibilities also include analyzing property inspection reports, rent rolls, operating statements, preparing regulatory requirement letters, and analyzing proof of payments, invoices, disbursement forms, lien waivers, and schedules.
