About Juniper Square

Our mission is to unlock the full potential of private markets. Privately owned assets like commercial real estate, private equity, and venture capital make up half of our financial ecosystem yet remain inaccessible to most people. We are digitizing these markets, and as a result, bringing efficiency, transparency, and access to one of the most productive corners of our financial ecosystem. If you care about making the world a better place by making markets work better through technology – all while contributing as a member of a values-driven organization – we want to hear from you.

Juniper Square offers employees a variety of ways to work, ranging from a fully remote experience to working full-time in one of our physical offices. We invest heavily in digital-first operations, allowing our teams to collaborate effectively across 27 U.S. states, 2 Canadian Provinces, India, Luxembourg, and England. We also have physical offices in San Francisco, New York City, and Bangalore for employees who prefer to work in an office some or all of the time.

About Your Role

As a key member of the Juniper Square team, you will play a critical role in supporting one of our largest private equity clients by leading the valuation support for client engagements. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and execute the valuation process for assigned funds, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with industry best practices.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across the client’s organization—including the Deal Team, Accounting, Investor Services, Compliance, and Fund Administration—to drive valuation-related initiatives both at the client and Juniper Square. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure to various facets of the private equity ecosystem, while maintaining a core focus on valuations.

You’ll bring analytical rigor, a strong understanding of private equity structures, and excellent communication skills to help deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary liaison for the client on all valuation matters.
  • Oversee and execute the end-to-end valuation process, including deliverable tracking, presentation, and model reviews, and manage ad-hoc requests.
  • Advise deal teams on valuation model development, ensuring adherence to client policy and external reporting standards.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new client portfolio investments by establishing robust data collection for valuation.
  • Support client deal teams in preparing documentation for financial and comparable company assumptions in valuation models.
  • Critically assess the client’s assumptions underpinning income, market, and other valuation approaches.
  • Coordinate and assist with the client’s annual audits and interim reviews.
  • Champion improvements in valuation and reporting processes, procedures, and technology.
  • Develop and refine presentation materials to effectively communicate the client’s valuation results to the client’s internal stakeholders as well as the client’s external stakeholders.
  • Lead discussions and cultivate client relationships with diverse stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery of information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or similar discipline (CFA and/or CPA a plus).
  • 5 - 10 years of valuation experience.
  • Private Equity and Real estate valuation experience, transaction services, financial planning and analysis, corporate development, consulting, data analytic or private company valuation experience are a plus.
  • Big 4 valuation practice experience is a plus.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and challenging environment that requires execution of deliverables, projects and initiatives on a timely basis in support of a rapidly growing business.
  • Thorough understanding of ASC 820 and corresponding valuation guidance.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of valuation methodologies.
