Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum of 7 years of infrastructure IT operations experience, along with 5+ years of software automation/development and 2+ years of scripting experience, specifically in languages such as Python. An IAT Level II certification is required, alongside Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation and AWS or Azure Associate certification. Applicants should also have documented experience in network/system admin, virtualization (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V), and Git/GitLab experience. U.S. citizenship and a Secret clearance with NATO access are mandatory, adhering to MCEN security standards and cybersecurity training.

Responsibilities

The Automation and Cloud Services Engineer will implement full-stack automation, including provisioning, configuration, deployment, and testing; develop agile infrastructure for integrated automation and joint management; build and manage automation tools and CI/CD pipelines; configure and administer cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Azure Stack, and Amazon Snow; document and commit automation code to Git repositories; and train operations teams on automation tool usage. They will also support the Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA) by implementing and managing advanced cloud and automation infrastructure for C5ISR systems, interfacing with diverse technical teams.
