Requirements

The ideal candidate possesses over 15 years of experience in UX or product design, with at least 5 years in leadership roles focused on mobile-first and platform-scale initiatives. Proven success in leading omni-channel product design across mobile apps, responsive web, and connected tools is required, along with a track record of shaping products that drive engagement and reduce friction, ideally within the healthcare, wellness, or fintech sectors. Experience with large-scale design systems, accessibility best practices, and data-informed product development is essential, as is exceptional communication and influencing ability across all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

The Associate VP will lead the vision and strategy for Humana’s mobile app ecosystem, focusing on simplicity, accessibility, and emotional connection. This role involves ensuring seamless and consistent experience architecture across mobile, desktop, and connected devices, supported by a robust design system. Responsibilities include collaborating closely with Engineering, Product, Research, and UX Content teams to deliver holistic solutions, building and mentoring high-performing design teams, and championing inclusive innovation by prioritizing accessibility, equity, and cultural relevance in all design decisions. Additionally, the Associate VP will stay abreast of emerging design and technology trends to improve health outcomes and deepen engagement, and will present roadmaps, insights, and outcomes to senior leadership to influence enterprise priorities and long-term investments.
