Candidates should have at least 7 years of UX design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing mobile-first design work. Deep expertise in native design languages, particularly Android and complementary experience in iOS, is required, along with proficiency in Figma. Strong abilities in balancing user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility, as well as experience designing for privacy, security, and accessibility in mobile applications, are essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a highly collaborative nature are also necessary.
The Staff Visual Designer will lead UX efforts for major initiatives in Firefox Mobile, focusing on visual craft and interaction design to translate user needs and business goals into polished, native experiences. They will design and prototype intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling mobile experiences that support Firefox’s core values, create design storyboards, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes for research, and collaborate with product, engineering, and research teams to align design decisions. The role also involves advocating for mobile-first UX best practices, contributing to and evolving the Design System, and supporting product strategy from concept to completion.
