Requirements

  • Associates Degree (or approximately 13 years of education) in a relevant field
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a production environment (with degree) or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Ability to perform significant work activities including continuous standing for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8-hour day) and lift, carry, push, or pull weights of more than 20 pounds/9 kilos on a regular/daily basis

Responsibilities

  • Communicates daily with line personnel while maintaining constant line presence; achieves department attendance targets with immediate feedback; executes policies affecting work processes and personnel; develops direct reports through training, challenging tasks, rewards, and disciplinary action; schedules and organizes production area to meet supply commitments and inventory levels; assists with shift starts/changes; monitors line metrics and provides direction to staff to achieve goals
  • Oversees personnel and processes for compliance with internal/external regulations; supports investigations for man-related quality incidents and implements corrective actions with Quality department; ensures production meets quality standards
  • Maintains safe work environment with 100% training and compliance to procedures; investigates safety incidents and drives corrective actions with Safety department; assists in preparing training plans for line ergonomic rotation objectives
  • In coordination with Supervisor, supports staffing plan by identifying resource needs and coordinating selection with HR; monitors and reports on performance to operational and financial metrics
