Associate Director of Sales

Employment Type: Full-time Location Type: Remote US Role: Must be in the US at the time of application to be considered.

Position Overview

As an Associate Director of Sales, you will be responsible for the selling, revenue management, and vendor contract process/cycle of a Retailer’s supplier collaboration program. Your success in this role will be driven by three key areas:

  1. Leading the annual selling cycle and vendor onboarding to hit key financial metrics.
  2. Growing the business by upselling existing vendors, selling to new vendors, and providing input into the product development process to improve marketability.
  3. Tracking revenue accurately and in a timely manner for both client and internal stakeholders.

Your experience in CPG/Retail with Customer Analytics will allow you to perform product demonstrations as required.

Responsibilities

  • Development of a Sales Plan for assigned clients/sales targets.
  • Achieving established sales targets by managing a disciplined action plan for opportunities supported.
  • Building supporting sales materials for client proposals.
  • Maintaining an understanding of client stakeholders and building relationships with key players.
  • Transferring client feedback and market desires to product teams in support of solution enhancements.
  • Monitoring client contracts to ensure correct and timely delivery of services and contract renewal.
  • Collaborating with internal teams (Account Leads, SDRs, Product) to align on client strategy.
  • Cultivating relationships with key client stakeholders (Account Manager – Sales and Category, Analysts).

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of experience in a relevant industry (CPG, consulting, sales).
  • Consultative selling experience with data-driven solutions.
  • Possess a "Hunter Mentality," readiness to become acclimated quickly, and strong motivation to hit annual and quarterly sales goals.
  • Comfortable leading the sales process from start to finish and closing deals with both long and short sales cycles.
  • Effective in senior-level communication, influencing, and negotiation.
  • Strong logic, deductive reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience working with complex client relationships and client issue resolution.
  • Able to work collaboratively with internal and external teams.
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability to deliver against quarterly & annual financial targets.
  • Familiarity with NielsenIQ tools, applications, and platforms is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $93,800.00 - $110,000.00 (Anticipated base compensation. Actual salaries will vary based on candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location.)
