BA or Associate Degree in Engineering, Communications, Electronics or relevant field or equivalent years of experience
2-4 years of technical experience in video post-production, broadcast or related field
Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
Ability to perform well as an individual while contributing to a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven post-production environment
Ability to work independently under pressure; proactive thinker and self-starter
Some travel as required
Strong understanding and experience with professional and consumer Audio/Video signal flow (preferred)
Familiarity and experience troubleshooting and maintaining Windows, OS X and Linux operating systems (preferred)
Able to quickly diagnose or escalate system-level problems during client sessions (preferred)
Experience in entry-level computer scripting (preferred)
Wiring, equipment installation and cable management skills (preferred)
Physical ability to lift up to 20 lbs; sitting 50% of day; computer work 40% of day (repetitive activity)
Responsibilities
Provide frontline support for multiple screening rooms, conference rooms, and MCR environments
Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve issues involving video, audio and file-based media production workflows
Partner with engineers and management to develop and implement new procedures and workflows as required by in-house editorial and production
Provide frontline technical support for Avid systems, editorial suites, dailies review rooms, motion capture stage and backend equipment including video routers, network switches, displays, projectors, etc
Troubleshoot Audio and Video signal flow and playback issues during local and remote client sessions
Support media workstations running under Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems
Work with senior engineers to design, deploy and document new media production systems
Collaborate effectively with artists, production supervisors, and technical staff to solve media-related technical issues
Preparation of end-user and engineering documentation
