Responsibilities

  • Partners with the Store Manager on long-range workforce management
  • Oversees payroll to meet budget, including scheduling teammates based on athlete traffic and analyzing sales data
  • Hires and builds strong teams through targeted recruitment strategies
  • Leads with coaching and development when handling teammate discipline, appraisals, and performance matters
  • Plans, organizes, and controls for 90 days out with guidance from the Store Manager
  • Creates a hassle-free shopping experience by identifying opportunities in the store and validating key in-store programs
  • Directly manages team in assigned department(s) and has a dotted line responsibility for managing teammates in other areas of the store
  • Ensures department(s) meet merchandising standards, including merchandise exposure, visual displays, pricing, and signage
  • Holds teammates accountable for meeting operational guidelines, brand standards, customer service expectations, and company policies
  • Ensures compliance with company operational processes, including firearm compliance, cash handling, and safety requirements
  • Conducts Loss Prevention audits
  • Prioritizes training, coaching, and development of teammates, focusing on accountability through motivation and stretch assignments
  • Makes recommendations with respect to the termination and advancement of teammates
  • Maintains a people-first culture by connecting with teammates and building mutual trust and respect
  • Transparently communicates and builds a high-energy environment for all teammates
  • Creates an inclusive store environment where everyone feels safe
