The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a minimum of one year of relevant work experience, less than one year of supervisory experience, prior experience administering affordable programs such as Project-Based or Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), experience with various computer systems including Microsoft Office, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, excellent customer service skills, superb attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and be trained.
As an Assistant Property Manager, the role involves monitoring collections, posting rent payments, enforcing the collection policy, initiating legal action when necessary, facilitating all aspects of apartment leasing including touring, processing applications, and negotiating lease renewals, providing exceptional customer service by responding to resident issues and complaints, assisting in physical and financial management, acting as Property Manager in the Manager’s absence, preparing financial reports, monitoring accounts payable, and promoting positive resident relations.
