Requirements

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Manager or in a similar senior engineering role, preferably within the laundry or healthcare industry
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, boiler, and building maintenance systems
  • Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams

  • Proficiency in relevant software and technical documentation

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and leadership to the engineering team, overseeing all aspects of facility maintenance and repairs, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, boiler operations, and building maintenance
  • Implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of assets
  • Diagnose and repair complex equipment malfunctions, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing operational disruptions; conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues
  • Oversee engineering projects, from initial planning and design to implementation and completion, adhering to budgets and timelines; manage contractors and ensure projects meet required safety and quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and codes pertaining to facility operations and equipment
  • Manage the engineering department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and efficient resource allocation
  • Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment; handle performance evaluations and contribute to employee training and development
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in equipment efficiency and maintenance practices
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior management, operations personnel, and external contractors; collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions
