Requirements

  • High school diploma or 1-2 years of successful sales experience with retail
  • Established relationships and demonstrated success working with retail
  • Working knowledge of financials used in the sales process such as costing, margin, profitability, promotional spend

Responsibilities

  • Grow and manage sales of the Company’s brands at current and new retailers in the assigned area
  • Execute the Company-defined weekly sales route in strict adherence
  • Learn and understand the unique attributes, pricing, promotions, and route to market for the Company’s brands
  • Build and maintain relationships with assigned accounts by developing relationships with gatekeepers and key stakeholders
  • Provide excellent sales/customer service to achieve account satisfaction with the Company’s products
  • Assure high level of customer service by proactively handling customer concerns via phone, email, and in person
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local distributors and their reps to motivate growth of the Company’s brands
  • Participate in distributor kick-offs, monthly meetings, and ride-alongs to promote company brands
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local brand reps, including setting up and leading productive ride-alongs
  • Use mobile electronic devices to accurately and timely complete required forms and documents
  • Report progress, successes, and challenges to management in a timely manner
  • Solicit and obtain orders for incremental sales by meeting face-to-face with store decision makers, including displays, additional SKUs, facings, cold box placement, and other volume growth opportunities
  • Survey assigned accounts to ensure products and POS are presented to maximize sales and influence purchasing decisions (e.g., front-facing products, labeled shelves, verifying displays and pricing)
  • Utilize data on profit/margin opportunities, survey inventory for additional sales, provide samples for new launches, and take orders for distributor delivery
  • Interact with owners/managers on displays and signage (interior/exterior), confirm currency, use discussions to increase sales, inform of promotions, remove expired materials, and educate store teams on brand awareness
  • Conduct store audits with management to ensure merchandising standards and promotional programming execution
  • Demonstrate passion for all of the Company’s brands
  • Embrace and model the Company’s culture, values, and behavior, representing the Company positively and energetically
