Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field and have experience supporting a varied and dynamic environment within a hedge fund or investment bank, with some product knowledge in asset classes such as Rates, FX, Credit, and Equity. They should have some experience with general SQL Server tasks and a good understanding of SQL, as well as good overall IT knowledge including .NET and/or Java technologies, and fault diagnosis and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

The Application Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting systems and applications across front-to-back areas, including Trade Capture, Middle & Back Office operations, Static & Market data capture and distribution, Risk, and PnL. They will confidently deal with traders and middle office, perform training, user configuration and permissioning, act as a point of contact for user System & Application queries and issues, form a close working relationship with development teams to communicate user requirements and recommend changes, assist with testing new releases in a UAT capacity, manage some production releases, and potentially work staggered shifts and occasional weekend work.
