As a member of the Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI, you will be part of the Alternative Investment Funds team. Your primary role is to provide exceptional customer service and administration for clients’ hedge and private equity funds. You will act as an intermediary between the funds and their investment managers and serve as the official record keeper for the funds. You will also train and supervise the accounting analysts on the team.

Requirements

  • Education: BA / BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in the fund services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Fund Accounting: Price and maintain timely records for hedge and private equity holdings using various external pricing resources.
  • Reconciliations: Perform timely reconciliations regarding Net Asset Values.
  • Reporting: Provide accounting reports.
  • Client Communication: Communicate transactions associated with the fund(s) and work closely with internal and external clients to provide accurate and thorough accounting packages.
  • Audit Support: Coordinate and support various year-end audit engagements in accordance with GAAP accounting standards.
  • Compliance: Perform due diligence to ensure clients are in compliance with government laws and regulations.
  • Team Supervision: Train and supervise the accounting analysts on systems, processing, procedures, and job responsibilities.
  • Team Management: Assist in managing a team environment that encourages self-motivation, organization, and drive to complete multiple client deliverables in a timely manner without sacrificing excellence or quality.
  • Client Correspondence: Correspond with external investment managers regarding day-to-day fund inquiries, including reconciliations, coordinating scheduled deliverables, and escalating concerns.
  • Performance Management: Assist the manager with conducting performance appraisals, monthly one-on-ones with the team analysts, and provide career pathing and training.
  • Recruiting: Ensure staffing requirements are met by participating in analyst interviews.
  • Team Development: Team with the manager to provide and foster a team environment to include individual development, promotions, and disciplinary action.
  • Professional Development: Attend and participate in various IMS and corporate professional development sessions to identify processes across the division and organization.
