Requirements

Candidates should possess a completed degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field. They should have experience in application development, particularly with welding technologies and a strong understanding of materials. Fluency in German and good English skills are required, along with customer-oriented thinking and a proactive approach. Knowledge of the fastening and assembly industry, and basic understanding of mechanical testing procedures are considered desirable.

Responsibilities

The Application Engineer will support the sales team in identifying customer needs and preferences, providing technical assistance to customers, developing fastening solutions and creating customized product proposals, managing Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VA/VE) initiatives, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, utilizing the Salesforce CRM system, and conducting regional customer and employee training. They will also be responsible for travel, primarily in Central Europe (60%), but also to other European countries and the Middle East & Africa.
