About this Role:

As the first sales hire, you will be instrumental in transitioning Ashby from founder-led sales to a scalable and repeatable sales process. The emphasis is on raw ability, a drive for continuous growth, and excellence in the outlined areas, rather than solely on previous experience. Ashby has established a strong product and engineering foundation and aims to replicate this success on the go-to-market side.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Enjoys becoming a product and domain expert, selling consultatively and educating prospects at every interaction.
  • Possesses strong attention to detail, takes pride in a clean sales pipeline, and is meticulous about timely follow-up communications.
  • Moves quickly, consistently identifies areas for improvement, and utilizes tools/technology to scale the sales team effectively.
  • Is passionate about building a sales process from the ground up.
  • Is motivated not only by closing deals but also by establishing a repeatable process for future go-to-market team success.
  • Approaches sales as a listening exercise, actively relaying market insights, product feedback, and industry trends back to the company.
  • Is analytical, comfortable with numbers, and capable of modeling scenarios independently.

  • Experience in hiring and leading a sales team.
