Requirements

8+ years of experience in AI/ML roles, with a strong track record of solving real-world problems using advanced analytics and machine learning
5+ years of domain-specific experience in financial services, ideally within wealth management, asset management, or insurance
Demonstrated success leading large-scale AI initiatives and multidisciplinary teams in complex environments
Hands-on experience with Generative AI technologies and their business applications
Exposure to end-to-end productization of AI models in enterprise settings
BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
Relevant certifications in AI/ML and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) are a plus
Deep expertise in machine learning algorithms, deep learning architectures, and GenAI techniques (including prompt engineering)
Strong programming proficiency in Python and AI development libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, P

Responsibilities

Define and execute a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with WMI’s business objectives and Santander’s enterprise AI roadmap
Identify and prioritize high-impact AI/GenAI use cases across the value chain (e.g., hyper-personalization, intelligent automation, risk management, investment advisory)
Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI/ML solutions, ensuring business relevance and measurable outcomes
Guide cross-functional teams through AI project lifecycles—from ideation and experimentation to industrialization and continuous improvement
Supervise the development and maintenance of predictive models and advanced analytics capabilities
Oversee AI research, proof-of-concept development, and technology prototyping, with a focus on innovation and rapid iteration
Ensure all AI solutions comply with ethical, regulatory, and data privacy standards
Build strategic partnerships with external AI vendors, cloud providers, and academic/research institutions
Act as an internal thought leader and ambassador for AI adoption across the WMI organization
