Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree with over 5 years of experience, a Master's degree with over 3 years of experience, or a PhD in a quantitative field. Proficiency in Python for data science applications, software development best practices (versioning, testing, documentation, secure coding), and hands-on experience with Generative AI and machine learning deployment at scale are required. Experience with structured and unstructured data analysis, building analytical workflows, and operationalizing Responsible AI principles (fairness, transparency, privacy, safety, accountability) in real-world projects is essential. Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and excellent communication abilities to convey technical and ethical considerations to non-technical stakeholders are also necessary. Prior experience in healthcare or highly regulated industries and a record of publication or thought leadership in Responsible AI are preferred.

Responsibilities

The Senior Responsible AI Data Scientist will champion ethical AI development across the enterprise, supporting model risk assessments, fairness evaluations, and compliance with ethical and regulatory standards. They will drive R&D for innovative, ethically-grounded AI solutions in healthcare and design/implement processes for evaluating, monitoring, and documenting AI systems. This role involves staying current with Responsible AI research and regulations, partnering with legal, compliance, IT, and education teams to operationalize AI principles, and evolving governance initiatives. The position also requires serving as an internal consultant on Responsible AI topics and facilitating educational initiatives for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
