Candidates must possess a degree in Accounting or Finance, coupled with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience. A strong command of Microsoft Excel is essential, along with critical thinking and analytical skills. Experience with financial reporting systems like NetSuite and Salesforce is preferred, as are excellent written and verbal communication abilities. The ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment and work under tight deadlines is also required.
The Accounting Specialist will review and approve contractor bills, ensuring accurate coding for financial reporting and recording cash receipts to the proper accounts. They will assist in the process of submitting and approving invoices in customer portals, and prepare and distribute customer invoices with timely and accurate information. This role involves interacting with Sales and Operations teams to ensure accuracy of customer correspondence, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and assisting team members with special projects. Maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders and customers is also a key responsibility.
