Requirements

Candidates must have a Series 27 license and experience overseeing financial and operational compliance with SEC Net Capital Rule (15c3-1) and Customer Protection Rule (15c3-3). Experience with Rules 17a-3 and 17a-4, regulatory inquiries, and independent audits is required. Experience in a Fintech startup environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Financial Operations Principal will supervise, review, and file FOCUS reports, monitor net capital levels, and ensure timely filing of financial statements. They will interpret and apply SEC and FINRA rules, respond to regulatory inquiries, and design internal controls for asset safeguarding. Responsibilities also include supervising financial operations, reconciliations, clearing and settlement processes, margin calculations, and coordinating annual independent audits.
