Position Overview

The Account Manager, SMB will be responsible for managing client relationships, developing client strategies, driving growth, planning engagement, and delivering overall value to a portfolio of named accounts. This client-facing role will focus on aligning Syndigo's solutions with clients' strategic initiatives, working directly with primary contacts and executive sponsors to create account plans centered on value demonstration. The goal is to ensure client renewals and growth by deeply integrating into their business processes, working closely with client relations and customer service to exceed expectations.

This is a quota-carrying sales role focused on SMB clients, measured by renewal and growth targets.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop new relationships with buyers at small to mid-market brands.
  • Focus relentlessly on customer experience and maximizing their value realization with Syndigo.
  • Manage the full sales cycle for renewals, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities within a defined customer base.
  • Lead strategic contract negotiations to align service options with client needs while meeting growth targets.
  • Dedicate time to learning and skill development to achieve KPIs and grow as a sales professional.
  • Leverage the Syndigo tech stack for data-driven decisions, documenting customer communication, prioritizing territory approach, staying organized, and accurately forecasting revenue.
  • Diagnose and engage higher-risk customers, leveraging internal resources to direct resolution strategies.
  • Navigate Syndigo's solutions on behalf of clients, proposing appropriate solutions to meet their challenges.
  • Problem-solve with customers, guiding them through the product information and syndication landscape to establish Syndigo as a valued partner.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of sales experience, preferably in B2B and the technology sector.
  • Motivation to learn, problem-solve, and develop skills for success in tech sales.
  • Familiarity with sales fundamentals and customer service basics.
  • Strong relationship-building, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable using technology in daily workflows and decision-making.
  • Strong organization and time management skills are critical.
  • Ability to write and speak clearly and professionally.
  • Experience in SaaS, managed services, and analytics is a significant plus.
  • Experience doing business with consumer brands and/or retailers is a plus.
