As a Field Sales Account Manager in the CCG RSD Division at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will directly contribute to the sale of exceptional products and services to Academic Segment customers. You’ll build strong, collaborative relationships with customers and suppliers using various methods, including face-to-face, email, phone, and video conferencing, driving partnership and growth.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree, with a preference for Science or Business degrees. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Experience: Demonstrable sales experience in a life science setting.
  • CRM Proficiency: Proficiency in CRM tools, preferably Salesforce.
  • Account Management: Account Management experience, with distribution/supplier relationship experience preferred.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of the Swedish Biotech ecosystem is advantageous.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills. Ability to multi-task and meet target dates. Proficiency in MS Office, pricing and analytics tools, and ability to learn new digital tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sales calls to understand customer needs and independently make decisions to implement tailored solutions.
  • Understand the structure, relationships, and connections in key accounts and build strategies to align with key decision makers.
  • Optimize partnerships with a broad network of cross-functional internal and external collaborators to drive revenue targets.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to expand business; identify new business opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives.
  • Research competitor and industry activity to remain informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers.
  • Use analytics to build strategies and uncover opportunities; generate opportunities by introducing new products.
  • Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files critical for accurate management of territory.
  • Exhibit a high level of self-discipline and is looked upon to coach or mentor teammates in planning and prioritizing sales activities.
  • Set strategic sales and business goals, implements plans to meet short and long term objectives.
  • Maintain the direction of the sales territory to achieve growth and maintains a strong pipeline of opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Possess the ability to multi-task and meet target dates.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, pricing and analytics tools, and ability to learn new digital tools.
  • Accurately and promptly submits reports and expenses claims.
  • Willing to travel to customer sites, sales meetings, and for training events, as needed.
