Position Overview

  • Salary: Up to £47,500 + up to 20% bonus + £600 per month car allowance
  • Location: Field based covering the South Coast - Southampton/Bournemouth

As an Account Manager, you will create and maintain relationships with used car dealers, conduct face-to-face appointments and negotiations, offer competitive finance terms, and ensure individual targets and company policies are met.

As an Account Manager at Tandem, your focus will be on:

  • Business Development: Creating quality used car dealer relationships within your geographical area.
  • Account Management: Managing existing used car dealers to ensure they meet their sales and efficiency targets.
  • Attending face-to-face dealer onsite meetings and negotiations to offer competitive finance facilities.
  • Offering excellent customer service.
  • Being an active team player.
  • Achieving business targets and personal objectives.
  • Attending 121s and team meetings in our office locations (typically Cardiff/Blackpool).

Requirements

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Possess effective communication styles and methods for interacting with used car dealers.
  • Can work independently, setting your own priorities and taking a lead role.
  • Are prepared to take accountability for your own performance.
  • Can communicate verbal and written information to customers clearly, fairly, and not misleadingly.
  • Can work under pressure in a target-driven environment with the capacity to prioritize tasks.
  • Have excellent organizational and time/diary management skills.
  • Can research, digest, analyze, and present material clearly and concisely to senior management and director level.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Can work proactively and think strategically in a fast-moving environment.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to a wide variety of tasks and to work extra hours where required to meet deadlines and deal with client queries.
  • Can present to motor dealers of all sizes and types.

It would be great, but not essential, if you have:

  • Previous experience in motor finance or associated businesses within the motor industry.
  • A good understanding of the digital marketplace within the motor finance industry.
  • An understanding of the regulatory environment within the motor industry.
