The Account Manager will oversee clients in our small-market (<100 lives) book of business. This role focuses on relationship management, understanding client needs, and day-to-day client management. As the primary point of contact for key client stakeholders and brokers, the Account Manager's goal is to ensure client success and engagement. This role reports to the Director of Account Management (small-market) and collaborates with the Strategic Accounts team and cross-functional areas.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Garner delivers an excellent client experience to the assigned book of business.
  • Execute key workflows and monitor client health to support clients.
  • Track client success KPIs, escalate areas of concern, and mitigate risks through action plans.
  • Execute best practice standards and workflows to improve client satisfaction, engagement, and ROI, driving retention.
  • Manage strong day-to-day broker and client relationships.
  • Communicate regularly with key decision-makers and broker partners to understand ongoing needs.
  • Collaborate with product, sales, and member services teams to meet client engagement goals and ensure satisfaction with Garner's service.
  • Develop client reports, meeting materials, and workshops as needed.
  • Travel up to 15% of the time.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience managing and growing a high-performing B2B book of business in the healthcare and benefits industry, delivering impactful results year over year.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting clients to increase engagement and maximize the value of a SaaS solution.
  • Passion for delivering an excellent client experience and producing high-quality work.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate a vision or strategy and inspire adoption and change.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, rapidly evolving, and fast-paced startup environment with significant upside.
  • Self-starter with the ability to take ownership and drive execution of key initiatives.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with clients and brokers in the health and welfare space.
  • A desire to contribute to Garner's mission of improving the healthcare system.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range: $75,000 - $104,000.
  • Commission eligible.
