Requirements

  • Strong consultative sales experience: Extensive experience in a consultative sales role for a high-growth, SaaS business, with skills to navigate complex enterprise sales cycles while delivering a delightful customer experience
  • Breadth of skills across the sales process: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with operational skills to develop, report on, simplify, and improve sales processes
  • Pragmatism: Comfortable with ambiguity and an evolving sales process; resourcefully solve problems and make pragmatic trade-offs while holding a bigger, strategic goal in mind
  • Highly collaborative working style: Excellent, concise communication to easily convey thoughts, opinions, and feelings with customers and teammates
  • A great attitude: The right attitude towards a sense of urgency, risk, and ambiguity that comes with working at an early-stage startup

Responsibilities

  • Manage sales process with Strategic enterprise leads: Own the full sales cycle from lead to close through a consultative sales approach; help prospects navigate complex sales cycles and manage relationships with procurement, IT, and legal to close new business
  • Manage expansion and growth of Strategic enterprise customers: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at largest accounts; understand customer needs to position products for upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Create and execute account plans to drive revenue growth: Partner with Customer Success to ensure customer success and adoption; monitor and analyze account health metrics, proactively engage to ensure satisfaction and deliver value
  • Help mature our business: Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to contribute to business growth; pioneer new practices to improve sales efficiency and influence support for new initiatives
  • Employ a consultative sales approach: Create and deliver tailored consultative demonstrations of Dovetail for various audiences; develop intimate knowledge of Dovetail's capabilities and the market to effectively help prospects
