Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience supporting enterprise customers in AV engineering and implementation. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with members of multiple teams across different world regions is required, along with proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining AV hardware such as displays, microphones, speakers, and control systems. Experience with video conferencing platforms like Zoom, Teams, and Webex, including account administration and user support, is necessary. Knowledge of AV signal distribution methods and protocols including HDMI, HDBaseT, Dante, and NDI is also required. The ability to read and interpret AV system documentation, signal flow diagrams, and rack elevations, coupled with experience managing support cases with AV vendors, is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and end-user support are mandatory, and fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
The AV Engineer will maintain and operate collaboration spaces, conference room technology, and video collaboration platforms, adhering to CrowdStrike's reference AV architecture. They will monitor AV infrastructure and traffic, identifying and documenting problem areas, and recommending improvements for infrastructure and performance. Responsibilities include creating and updating AV knowledge-based documentation and operating procedures, managing AV service vendors and partners for issue resolution and system maintenance, and preparing clear plans for scheduled AV system maintenance. The engineer will also support the Service Desk and on-site teams for Executive Briefing Centers by providing technical expertise and remote support for AV-related issues, and provide regular status updates on operational metrics and maintenance activities. They will troubleshoot and resolve AV system issues across various platforms and hardware configurations, support the strategic roadmap for AV with operational insights and improvement recommendations, and report regularly to the product owner on project status to ensure timely delivery. Additionally, they will provide subject matter expertise to functional project teams and participate in cross-team major initiatives.
