Requirements

Candidates must be a board-certified psychiatrist with a multistate license, specifically licensed in California and holding a current DEA registration. A minimum of 1 year of collaborative psychiatric clinical experience is required, with in-depth knowledge of women's mental health and the perinatal population. Experience in telehealth, familiarity with medical evaluation and medication management (including SSRIs and SNRIs), and understanding of diagnostic codes are essential. Proficiency with virtual platforms, EHRs, and Microsoft Office Suite is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The psychiatrist will provide oversight and collaborate with nurse practitioners to ensure the highest standard of care, supporting and assessing their clinical decision-making. Responsibilities include conducting regular, high-quality reviews of patient charts based on state requirements and being available for virtual consultations with nurse practitioners. The role also involves collaborating with clinical and leadership teams to refine strategies and workflow processes, requiring approximately 1-2 hours of availability per month.
