Requirements

Ability to troubleshoot 480Vac power systems and 120Vac electrical controls
Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
Skill in using electrical meters to measure voltage, current, capacitance, resistance, etc
Capability to use hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, straightedges, cutting torch, or welding equipment
Knowledge of motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, production machines, robotic machinery
Experience with machine shop instrumentation and equipment for fabricating repair parts
Ability to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
Competence in diagnosing and replacing faulty electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic components (e.g., transformers, motors, relays, switches, bearings, wiring, conduit)
Ability to communicate with maintenance leadership, production leadership, and equipment operators
Knowledge of following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications
Ability to maintain inventories, place orders, and prepare maintenance reports

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair industrial equipment and facility infrastructure
Complete preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and production machines
Troubleshoot malfunctions using observation, precision measuring, and testing instruments
Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments
Fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment
Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories; check stock, anticipate needs, place/expedite orders, verify receipt
Conserve maintenance resources by efficient use of equipment and supplies
Dismantle, reassemble, install new or repaired parts in machines and equipment
Lay out, assemble, install, maintain pipe systems, hydraulic/pneumatic equipment; repair/replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators
Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut/join metal parts
Rig equipment for installation or relocation
Diagnose and replace malfunctioning apparatus (e.g., transformers, motors, lighting); replace damaged wires/cables
Replace faulty electrical components (e.g., relays, switches, motors, sensors, circuit boards)
Replace electric motor bearings and rewire motors
Plan layout and install wiring, conduit, electrical apparatus in buildings
Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information/trends
Maintain technical knowledge through workshops, technical publications, and personal networks
