Workday Engagement Manager

As an Engagement Manager within Cognizant’s Workday Practice, you’ll lead Workday implementations from start to finish for commercial clients across EMEA. You’ll act as the primary point of contact, managing budgets, resources, and client satisfaction while ensuring project success and profitability. This role requires leadership, management, and mentoring skills, with a focus on client and team accomplishment.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert in Cognizant’s Cynergy™ (Workday) Implementation Methodology.
• Manage multiple Workday product implementations as a Project Manager.
• Participate in the sales cycle: gather requirements, formulate delivery approaches, and develop proposals/SOWs.
• Ensure projects are properly planned and staffed.
• Track issues and risks, communicate status, and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to other consultants.
• Ensure projects are delivered within the budget outlined in the SOW.
• Present client with change orders to address scope, timeline, or cost changes.
• Present at Executive Steering Committee meetings.
• Work with Workday’s Delivery Assurance to ensure compliance with checkpoints.
• Assist in the transition of the customer from professional services to product support.
• Ensure the client can serve as a reference upon completion of their implementation and identify opportunities for other service offerings.

Skills and Requirements

• Successful project management experience leading medium to large ERP implementations, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Previous Workday experience and certification (PM, Launch) strongly preferred.
• Prior experience supporting Workday implementation projects for Commercial industries preferred.
• Knowledge of ERP, specifically HCM, Finance, and Payroll.
• A practitioner background in HR, Finance, or Payroll is a plus.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Minimal travel required, but willingness to travel on-site if needed.
