Proven experience as a post-doctoral researcher, product manager, marketing, inside sales, technical support, or R&D in a life sciences field is required. Experience writing scientific or technical marketing content and working in a highly matrixed environment within a large organization are preferred. Knowledge of SEO methodologies using tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and SEMRush is preferred, as is familiarity with online user experience, taxonomy, information architecture, content marketing, digital marketing, analytics, and testing. Outstanding writing, grammar, and proofreading skills, with sophisticated knowledge of the English language and scientific content types, are essential. Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills are necessary, along with strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
The Web Content Specialist II will define content strategies and architectures, apply search engine methodologies, write and edit sophisticated original copy, and analyze results for efficiency. Responsibilities include leading content optimization projects, assisting in broader initiatives, and serving as a local guide for standard optimization methodologies. Duties involve performing keyword research, identifying duplicate content, optimizing content hierarchies, proposing outlines, and developing content for clarity. The role includes peer reviewing content from other copywriters, mentoring junior team members, and working closely with internal partners to incorporate feedback and acquire approvals. Building positive relationships with SEO experts, content writers, marketing managers, and digital content teams is key. The specialist will analyze, track, and report on the performance of content initiatives and may perform additional duties as required.
